“ The food was excellent! The service was very very good. All of the Staffing people very interested in taking care of us and made sure we had a wonderful evening. Theview from the rooftop was wonderful! We spent over a thousand pesos but less than 140 US dollars... we had several glasses of Prosecco and wine and wonderful wonderful food. ”
“ Great Mexican food right in downtown. Good drinks and a nice night view from the terrace. There are also 2 additional bars in the first floor and food can be ordered. ”
“ first time having tongue tacos; they were alright but not a new fave for me lol. chicken was good, will try the octopus main next time! ”
“ First time visiting Queretaro and prior to coming here 3 days ago, we did our research to where to go and eat as well as places to visit. After walking for 4 miles, we decided to eat an early dinner and tried out Carranza 50 as we planned. We ordered the pork shank and fried cauliflower with cheese toppings. I hardly eat pork but this dish is amazing and the cauliflower is excellent! This is the best pork dish I ever had, so tasty! And the price we pay was even better! 30 american dollars for the dishes, 2 drinks and including tips for the waiter! By the way, the staff are friendly which made our dining experience even worthy. I would definitely come back and try out their other dishes and I highly recommend this place to anyone who have never been here. ”
“ After three attempts to dine at Carranza 50 without a reservation, I finally secured a table at their rooftop restaurant tonight—and it was absolutely worth the wait. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The three young hosts at the reception were not only welcoming and funny but also had great haircuts—my kind of people! They pointed us toward the stairs, where our waiter was already waiting to escort us to a table with a breathtaking nighttime view of Queretaro. Fernando, the manager and chef, personally greeted us and provided fantastic recommendations for both food and wine. I was genuinely surprised by how affordable the menu was—far more budget-friendly than my hotel restaurant, yet leagues ahead in quality and taste. We started with three appetizers: the esquites with bone marrow, the tongue tacos, and the charcoal-grilled Caesar salad. Each dish was outstanding. For mains, we shared a beautifully cooked T-bone steak and an octopus risotto so good that we found ourselves picking every last bite from the bone. To complement our meal, we tried a bottle of wine from San Luis Potosi, which paired wonderfully with the food—and at just 600 pesos, it was an absolute steal. Fernando explained that the restaurant strives to remain accessible to both locals and visitors, a mission I truly admire. With incredible food, warm hospitality, and unbeatable prices, Carranza 50 has earned a spot on my must-return list. Highly recommend! ”
